John Peterson developed the Emergent Lighting technology to provide emergency mass notification to schools, hotels, hospitals, government facilities and office buildings. Emergent Lighting Systems was awarded a patent in 2007.
John Peterson has over 25 years of career experience in electrical engineering with applied work in electrical testing, power generation, power distribution, design and project management. John holds advanced NETA and ANSI certifications and serves on the NFPA 99 standards committee. He has been in EMS since 1984 as a full time, part time and volunteer and is a Nationally Registered Paramedic under the 98 curriculum. John also has 10 years law enforcement experience working in patrol and as a K9 handler and later as an investigator.
Peterson filed for a patent on “The Emergency lighting system and method” in 2004 and received Patent number 7,255,454 in 2007.
